Once Bit, Twice Shy
Common interests are shared
Breaking the ice was done, melted to hearing you tired voice
Motives planned out discovering the new ish
But all I see are flagrant fouls accompanied with bullshit
The trademark of your personality engraved in my mind
Calm, cool and collective, surely it was one of a kind
Pour me a cup of spiced-rum and you may have your grey goose
Tension feels thick, let the sober thoughts loose
Unexpected hits you constantly threw
Standing on a firm base you knocked me over with the right move
Struck back and made your attitude reconsider
Able to hear the spoken words of others, made me sound bitter
Now we’re acting like there’s a certain boundary that needs to be crossed
I doubt the both of us ain’t trying to wear our confidence backwards, criss cross
When advice and opionions are needed I will let that shit fly
Cause you acting once bit but now twice shy
